Vision
Redefine Films believe stories have a unique power to reach where other methods often can’t - to slip under the armour of humanity and to gently reveal the heart of God.
We’re fed up with the darkness; the endless production of true crime narratives; the Netflix originals that neither have heroism or meaning – not another multi-million dollar feature that lingers on a melancholic, directionless, individualistic spectacle.
Nor do we want another “Christian movie.” A well-meaning, but cotton-wool wrapped presentation of the meek and mild Jesus. We don’t know that Jesus. But we do know the Man that stands before us in the storm, on the surface of the water – hand outstretched, eyes of fire, beckoning us to trust Him along a journey that no human can walk without Him. We know a Man that leads us not into comfort, but into life; and life abundant.
What we do want is to see characters that walk redemption narratives, that glimpse the Father in a way that starts to transform them, that mature into faith that starts to hold them on the water. We want to sample stories that activate our spirit, connect us to our humanity, lighten the load on our heart, give us understanding and remind us of the One at the bedrock of all goodness – our Trinitarian God.
We believe film can meet that longing – not by preaching, but by telling honest, redemptive stories that reflect the goodness of God in a way anyone can receive.
We’re not setting out to make “Christian movies” for Christian communities, but to create meaningful cinema that speaks to all human souls – stories shaped by empathy, informed by suffering, rooted in universal humanity, and revealing the ways we know the Father breaks through with the Kingdom of Light. Inspired by Philippians 4:8, we want our work to be focused on that which is noble, excellent and praiseworthy.
Our hope is simple: that through story, people might feel seen, stirred, and drawn closer to the One who sees and loves them most.

Rhett Deighton
Principal & Creative Director
Rhett has carried a quiet but persistent sense of calling to tell stories that reflect the heart of God since he was a teenager. His path into filmmaking has been shaped more by faithfulness than convention - walking through years of health challenges and wilderness seasons that deepened both his craft and his dependence on God. These experiences have formed a storyteller who values authenticity – equally portrayed with gentleness and strength.
At Redefine, Rhett’s heart is to create films that speak tenderly to the human experience, that portray people honestly, and connect people with an image of God they may never have been exposed to. He believes the power of story lies not in it’s ability to break through armour, but rather to slip under it - to reach the human heart with gentle transformation.
Rhett lives in Camden with his wife and young son, leading with intentionality in fellowship and discipleship spaces across church communities.
Dr Cameron Ferris
Operations & Compliance
Cameron Ferris carries a significant belief in the power of narrative to move people and shape culture. A scientist by training and entrepreneur by calling, he co-founded Inventia Life Science – where he helped develop ground-breaking technologies in tissue engineering and led efforts to raise over $80 million from top-tier investors.
With a PhD in bio-fabrication and experience across corporate advisory and venture investment, Cameron brings both vision and rigour to everything he builds. Now through Redefine Films, he’s channelling his strategic mind and creative spirit into stories that carry eternal weight.
He lives in Camden with his wife and three kids, serves on the council at Camden Valley Church, and remains deeply committed to work that is both purposeful and personal.
